That said, the back-and-forth between the two characters was pretty funny. Sooner or later this season he could really use a swift kick in the ass to bring him back down to Earth. The fact that Sheldon essentially won the battle at the end of the episode without much more than a soiled couch cushion as comeuppance was a little aggravating. It's bad enough he paid $500 for that clunky piece of crap. He started the feud by being unreasonable, and then he fanned the flames by stealing Wolowitz's Iron Man helmet.
The problem with the conflict was that Sheldon was so clearly the villain here. He's not a person who responds well to changes in the careful, homeostatic world he's built for himself. After all this time, it should really come as no surprise that the spark that fueled Sheldon's fire was something as pointless and arbitrary as a parking spot.
